A guy I shoot with over here in South Africa had the bottom barrel blow out. Oddly enough, it was while my daughter was shooting it. See the photo.

Anyway, he has had a local gunsmith tell him that he can rebuild the barrel set if he can get a tube for it. He can't get one here.

So the question is, who (in the USA) could provide a tube? Briley? Perazzi?

    Suggestions?

Get a new barrel set and forget about that one.

Many gunsmiths use tubes from Mossberg.

The more challenging work is to regulating these barrels.

While it's totally doable, buy you have to remember a used O/U barrel can be bought for around $2000.

    Thanks guys,

I'll pass this on to him.

Frankly, this is an MX-8 with about a million rounds through it, and he uses it as a borrow gun and for new shooter instruction.

My opinion is, this thing either needs to go back to Perazzi for a complete rebuild, or be retired.

    But its not my call.
