Barrel Box

    be careful using the USPS boxes inside out (or any carriers box for that matter). Whenever I go up to the counter w/ a box that looks like it could be a Priority Mail box, they ask me if it is or not, and i'm sure if you lie (or even just use a priority box for a lower service by turning it inside out) they'll use that as grounds to deny any insurance claim you have since you didn't play by the rules.

    The last two barrels I shipped went in PVC pipe. One cap glued in place the other a couple of dabs of glue and packing tape. The barrel was wrapped in bubble wrap within. Pipe was labeled "Precision Machined Parts" "Handle with Care" Arrived without a problem or damage. The few cents extra postage was worth the peace of mind.

    USPS has a hard tube made of cardboard but real hard. I always use them with no probs
