    I cannot verify this..received it in a e-mail.....SMOKIT

I had someone send me this information from a website and wanted to make sure it was accurate before sending it out. Pulled the following right from McMillan's FB page. Wonder what Bass Pro will do with their credit card BofA does for them. Think I will cancel mine.

    McMillan Group International
    April 19
McMillan Fiberglass Stocks, McMillan Firearms Manufacturing, McMillan Group International have been collectively banking with Bank of America for 12 years. Today Mr. Ray Fox, Senior Vice President, Market Manager, Business Banking, Global Commercial Banking came to my office. He scheduled the meeting as an “account analysis” meeting in order to evaluate the two lines of credit we have with them. He spent 5 minutes talking about how McMillan has changed in the last 5 years and have become more of a firearms manufacturer than a supplier of accessories.
At this point I interrupted him and asked “Can I possible save you some time so that you don’t waste your breath? What you are going to tell me is that because we are in the firearms manufacturing business you no longer what my business.”
    “That is correct” he says.
I replied “That is okay, we will move our accounts as soon as possible. We can find a 2nd Amendment friendly bank that will be glad to have our business. You won’t mind if I tell the NRA, SCI and everyone one I know that BofA is not firearms industry friendly?”
“You have to do what you must” he said.
“So you are telling me this is a politically motivated decision, is that right?”
Mr Fox confirmed that it was. At which point I told him that the meeting was over and there was nothing let for him to say.

I think it is import for all Americans who believe in and support our 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms should know when a business does not support these rights. What you do with that knowledge is up to you. When I don’t agree with a business’ political position I can not in good conscience support them. We will soon no longer be accepting Bank of America credit cards as payment for our products.

Certainly appears to be legit...and incredibly stupid on BoA's part.

Nothing on their website about this. I'm skeptical.

I have been saying that for some time now. They also had a big part in the bank failure. They are greedy and they don't care about you. If anyone here have any bank accounts with BA it would be a good idea to move them. I have my accounts in a Credit Union and glad of it.

Biggest bunch of crooks that are not in jail already. Not surprising that they are also one of Obama's campaign banks.

If this is verifiable I would switch my account but so far it isn't, I purchased a BT99 today and put it on a BAC visa card and got no flak. I'm not convinced but open to proven fact.

Guess it comes down to believing BOA (Now obviously back-pedaling) or believing a reputable manufacturer (With no reason for lying).

My opinion is pretty well formed at this point.

    Warren,
BofA isn't aware of what you purchased only how much you spent. Your credit card receipt probably is like everyone elses with just a total to sign for.
But, it wouldn't surprise me to see at a later time, gun affiliated businesses secluded from BofA card usage per their opperations in lengthly, legal, tiny print agreements for your discovery at at time when you didn't expect it.

Stocker John's has a BofA business account and has had for approx. 12+ years.

Honestly I wouldn't tell anyone to get a BofA account or credit cards.
If the mortgage gets handed off to BofA, they're really in poor hands. I know first hand.

Count on it, dropped calls, and a sneaky unapplied funds section on your statement for them to misappropriate your funds causing it to look like you didn't pay enough when they in fact just didn't apply it.
Representatives that can't explain why the funds weren't applied and why they are sitting in a seperate account unapplied while they make more interest on my loan. Returned payments in full because it wasn't enough to pay the full amount due when they had the rest sitting in that unapplied funds account and acknowledged that it was a paid credit unapplied. Even after calling BofA, and being assured by several loan specialists several times.

Yes, on my bill it showed - Unapplied funds. And, taxes & Ins. were seperately listed.

Automatically enrolling/putting homeowners in their homeloan modification plans. "Just pay the lower ammount and later we will work out a better plan for you to pay your mortgage" Yet, I read in small print that at which time they would determine what your payment would be and there was no certainty that it would be what you were paying, could be higher than what you started with. I was glad we didn't do that. So many families lost their homes paying the lower ammounts because BofA decided one day, a day they chose, for whatever reason, they didn't qualify for it anylonger. Retroactively homeowners aquired all of the difference - from the payments made and their original mortgage payment contract. One large lump sum due. I know we got bailed out, but pay this exuberant ammount due today or we're forclosing on your house! Done deal.

This modification plan swindle was on the news. Don't expect me to look it up, I saw it, believe me it you want to : )

My rant wasn't meant to be a ____ session or to target any one person but it BofA really urks me!

If I offended anyone please just know that it was not my intension and I wish you the best. Younger generations should continue to have the opportunities to shoot, and companies to support it!

For your own financial safety net, and love of your life sport, I advise finding another option.

I am. But you are you, you decide.

I stopped using them when I was a kid because they wanted to charge me for eveything, including sneezing. They treated my wife badly years ago and she moved her business as well. We're now at a credit union that doesn't care about our personal lives.

I droped my large bank (JP Morgan/Chase) after they charged me for a check written to me that bounced. Went with a local bank, free checks, free checking, free ATM, they know my name when I walk in. Look around, there are some great local banks out there.

They, BOA, want to be the world bank and don't care who they step on to get there, or what they have to do to get there. Socialism in the banking community.
