What difference in POI at 40 yds. 1250FPS 7.5 shot compared to 1150FPS 8 shot??

Question arises over my shooting over targets w/1250 load - I have a 100% high Alfy with comb set to see flat down rib - I have to hold under targets to break them consitently.

OT, according to Ed Lowry's program Shotgun Ballistics for Windows, the 1250 fps load of 7 1/2's will drop 4/10 of an inch less at 40 yards than 8's launched at 1150 fps.

In other words, that's not it.

Where/how does one get hold of Mr. Lowery's computer program?

Thanks, Neil, I'll call them; the web site order process is not encrypted or secure even though the web site claims it to be.

I suggested to another poster he try Precision Reloading or Ballistic Products and he found it, probably at one of them.

Gentlemen, Ed is infirm and in a nursing home. He is not producing any more of the CD-Roms for sale by Precision Reloading, or anyone else, and has not authorized anyone else to do so. The download site has been closed for years. PR hopes Ed's eventual heirs will recognize the value of Shotgun Ballistics for Windows and create packages for sale, or license that production to others.
