1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

You might ask your Postmaster what the options are.

No crying...the money isn't going to break me, just setting the stage here for letting everybody know who he is. I will say, there were three other purchasers who bought different items, and I had no problems with them - they were good as gold.

But it definitely makes the point...the days of good-honor, send-it-first transactions on TS.com would seem to be over (that is, if it ever was really here in the first place). No good deed goes unpunished, it seems.

Doug, the Post Master option intrigues me...I'll check into it.

(Halfie, I don't think they have any breakleg charlies in New York, ha ha).

Oh, we'll give him a day or so to get back from "deer hunting" or whatever his excuse is, sit down for Turkey, peruse the threads...and consider his options for keeping his name out of print.

MIA - I'm just running a tab with you. I'll collect in the form of Prime Rib, next time I swing by the Mall of America.

I have bought and sold countless items on here and always ship without funds. They have done the same for me. It pays to know who you are dealing with though. If I don't know them, I check their posts then decide, never had an issue

I as "cuban" have sent off many items without payment.

Old school. Sometimes what happens in life is worth the price to find out what someones like.

As I am sure you know, some sellers here on TS.COM send items before receiving payment, especially less expensive ones. Not firearms, as far as I know, since they need the FFL from the buyer.

I have received several things and shipped several things without a problem before payment has arrived. I have received some things before my payment got to the seller and, at least once, a seller sent 1000 hulls with an "invoice" for me to pay after I got them if I was satisfied.

I check to see if the person buying is a regular participant on the Forum, how long they have been a member and, as best I can determine, if there has been a problem with sales in the past. If not, I send it. Not expensive items, but lesser priced things.

So far no problem. I know there's some possibility that I might come out on the short end of the transaction, but I have generally found trapshooters to be honest.

Out of many years on here selling and buying , I repurchased an item I sold to find out everything that originially went with the sale did not come back the same way . Then no returned emails . Kinda rubbed wrong a little . I'm chaulking this up as my mistake for assuming .

I've never had an issue either, and don't want one.

Some years back I had an extensive Boy Scout collection and I sold most of it on eBay. I always sent items before I received the money because I was dealing with Boy Scouts. I only was not paid once and it was a guy who bought a whistle for $14. I think he was buying without his wife's knowledge because he wanted me to send it to the place where he worked. I did and payment never arrived and he didn't answer emails. After a couple of weeks I jumped on the internet and found the phone number of the place where he worked and called. His boss answered and I told him what had happened. He said "thank you, I will take care of that for you". The next day a crisp $20 bill arrived in a UPS overnight packet.
