    If this was previously posted I missed it but I received this from MEC.

    We will begin shipping the MEC Auto-Mate through our distribution network starting Friday May 25th.

    Yes I received the same e-mail, but nothing is on their web-site and no mention
    of cost.

    Let me see $447 (9000G) + $525 Automate) = $972. I don't think it's worth the price.

    If you bought one last year from Jim, I wonder if Mec will offer a software upgrade. I like the idea to hold the buttons down, in the event of a failure or with the option of returning it to the up stroke after releasing the buttons before it hits the bottom of the down stroke. Will they offer upgrades to us?

    I have no idea what Mec will offer, but I did a couple of upgrades on the AutoMate early on, and it is a very simple process changing out the chip. Knowing Mec's track record, I can't imagine they would not treat the original units the same as their own.
