I don't get it! Why would you need a shell cutter for? They really look neat. Do I need one?

Let's round this one-of-a-kind collectible up to $100.00 even. In addition, I'll sweeten the pot by donating either enough high-end myrtle or enough high-end big leaf maple burl to make the next five cutters. Just my little way of saying thanks to David and the crew.

I don't reload anymore, but there is still a little corner of the mantle not otherwise occupied.

    Gary,

Kick the bid to $175.00. Looks like we may find some old wood in closets that's itching to be donated. I'll be cutting to your dimensions this afternoon and will be shipping tomorrow. There may be a surprise or two in the box.

    Regards, Mike Mann

    Gary,

Big problem!! I got eleven sets out of the Myrtle piece that I had, not five. Oh well, since they're already in the box, I'll donate all eleven sets. On the way by Priority Mail tomorrow, 2-21.

Also tripped over an old piece of pretty walnut that's being cut tonight. Should yield another ten to fifteen sets. It'll be on the way as soon as I pick it up.

Here's the deal-----I'll commit five of the Myrtlewood sets to satisfy my commitment for the donation, whether I win the auction or not. Just in case Myrtle isn't your kind of girl, I'll donate five of the walnut sets as well. If you choose to donate another cutter or two sometime in the future to generate revenue for David and crew, so much the better.

I'd like you to give me a price (at email above) to make sets of five cutters from the remaining pieces. I'd like to use these as donations to several of the small clubs in my area that I support by occasionally donating trophies in an effort to relieve their trophy budgets a skosh while providing "unscheduled" trophy opportunities to more trapshooters. I think your cutters would be appreciated as unique collectibles, even if they were never used to surgically remove the components of a wayward cartridge.

    Thanks and regards, Mike Mann

    John,

Don't know what, if anything, I did to make you withdraw your bid. No part of my post was intended to influence anyone in any fashion, just to let Gary know that I had a couple extra sticks that I was willing to cut and send for this project as well as a totally separate trophy related project that I'm continually working on.

If my comments caused your action, please contact me at the email address above to discuss.

    Regards, Mike Mann

Ok just saw this thread and what ever Win1911sl said then im sure what the problem was I also know John,

And Mike Mann from what I read just now I wouldn't see why John would with draw his bid because of your post.

Ok I didn't see what was deleted but I was going to congradulate you Mike on donating the wood for the cutters and see no problem with you wanting some made with the extra wood.

Anyway I have heard in the past a lot say that David don't want donations im sure the ones that says that are the ones don't will never donate.

Well I don't know David at all the only way I know him is from the mail I get from him thanking me for helping the site out and im sure he gets tired of keeping it up but probably don't want to let down a lot of people that really like to visit it every day because for some this is their enjoyment for the day.

I know it has helped me to keep in the past, and made contact with friend's I never had before and also I always like this format because by the time you read all of the new stuff and then hit refresh then it was time to read it all thru again.

Ok with the new type of sites with the sticky's and such I never was on them for no longer than 10 minutes.

Ok maybe it would be better for John to just donate whatever he want's to David instead because I don't know what was deleted before but if it was something aimed at him and he took it personal then I would be the same as him because am not to hard headed but when I dis agree with something then I am real hard head to convince me on something that I really believe in.

Ok here is one for the one's that always bring's up he don't want donations, that is because he don't require it but im sure he really does appreciate it but he has more class to ask for it and if he was to ask for one when I first logged on then im sure I wouldn't still be here.

But over time I knew this was a good site to visit because,I did at least twice a day and gain a lot of info and also a lot of friends from it, ok this is just for the long timers on here that has gained a lot of useful info and wouldn't want to see the site gone ok explain this post below and read between the lines if you can.

I know it is cheaper than going out on the town for a night and the entertainment value is as good as the last few movies I went to see at the big screen in town.

Ok any one want to help allright I can't afford the bid price right now but my check is in the mail by monday for what I want to donate to keep this site up and im sure I will get a thank you also.
