AG Eric Scheinderman is the only attorney general to take on Wall Street and the President. He is trying to take the large banks to task over the foreclosure mess they created. Basically the government want to release the banks from all future liabilities in exchange for a $20 billion dollar fine and no jail time. It's time to put people in jail not slap them on the wrist.

Please take a minute to give your support to his efforts.

This is something less than the desirable result of feeding chickens and I am not talking about eggs.

Exactly which "large banks" do you accuse of the mess? Be specific, name names and tell us exactly what they did that was criminal. Would one of the banks be the purchaser of Countrywide with an alphabet soup of regulators' approvals obtained for the deal after having its chairman's arm nearly twisted off to do the deal for the good of the country?

And exactly who, let's see some names, of the folks you think deserve to be in jail? Got any room in that jail for Congressman Frank from your state who did everything possible short of holding a gun to the heads of banks and a couple government sponsored entities to make certain undeserving borrowers obtained loans in the name of affordable housing for the masses? Ever heard of CRA and what it still forces banks to do?

Here is an easy question for you. After your AG has driven all those evil, large banks to their knees and put their officers in jail, who is it that will finance what remains of this country's economic activity? You and your buddies in the AG's office ready to step up to that plate?

Could it be your beloved AG is grandstanding for political gain having short blown up a settlement all the other state AGs thought fair? Is it that all those other state AGs are part of an evil Wall St. conspiracy or are a banks simply your favorite convenient whipping boy and piggy bank of the day?

Support your AG all you want. Just do not insult the rest of us by placing the mess solely at the feet of banks.

Don forget to add Carter, Dodd, Clinton, et el to the perp walk list.

I can't remember if it was Maxine Waters for sure, but I remember seeing a video of a black congresswoman, reaming out the member of the Bush administration who was trying to get an investigation going on FannieMae and Freddie Mac.

Don't forget. The banks were trying to protect their investors and what they did was perfectly legal under the law at the time. They were desparte to pass on the bad paper forced on them by Democrat good intentions.
