From a report on the recent Gun Rights Policy Conference:

"John Lott (Ivy League economist/statistician and author of More Guns, Less Crime) spoke, with an interesting point. He'd held a fellowship at University of Chicago School of Law, when Obama was a professor or sorta-professor there, and they talked a few times. The first time Obama said "oh, you're the gun guy." When he said that he was, Obama said "I don't believe people should be allowed to own guns." Lott said maybe they should talk about it. Obama just smirked and left without a word."

What else do you need to hear?

McCain is no bargain...but the alternative is simply unthinkable. "They" tell us not to be 'one-issue' voters, but this issue - our issue - is a bellwether. Where a politician stands on the second amendment tells you where they stand on the entire Constitution - and on YOU. Are you a citizen, capable of making your own decisions about your life...to be trusted and left alone to do what you want so long as you don't harm others? Or, are you a dimwitted clod who can't take care of himself...a potential problem to be controlled, managed and minimized?

Make no mistake, with every increase in the size and scope of the government, WE lose a little more of our Liberty.

Do you want security? Do you want the government to provide it? Fine. But, ask yourself if you'd be happy in "Maximum Security"...because history is very clear that bureaucracies never stop growing on their own...and they never tolerate opposition.

And they say crime doesn't pay. Looks like it paid pretty good. :(
