There is an easy solution that government is too cowardly to take. In Saudia Arabia if a person is caught with any illegal substance the following Saturday morning in the public square his/her head comes off. They get very few takers. The alternative is the Dutch approach. The government sells the stuff cheaply, putting dealers out of business and uses their profits from it to treat addicts. With no more illegal drugs coming into the country there is no further need for BATFE, so dis-mantle it and save the tax payers billions.

Yet BATF is looking at banning some shotguns.

It's utter gall for them to do this when they're busy arming drug lords.

You do not see the big picture.

By banning the shotguns, the manufacturers will then be able to redirect resources formerly used to manufacture shotguns into the enlarging and much more profitable, and government funded too, BATFE Gun Running marketing operation. :-(

The ATF should have never been allowed to become an agency!

Trace its history and beginning and you'll find out why!

I remember back in the 80's the ATF was running around doing as they pleased. Almost foaming at the mouth. That was under Carter's time. When Regan got into the Pre's office he told the head ATF guy to get into his office. He came and Regan put him and the dept in their place. They stayed in their place for 12 years till we got Bill Clinton and then we had Waco and Ruby Ridge. The ATF was turned loose again. Bush came into office and they backed offed. Now we have America's big mistake in office they are again going wild.

ATF in my mind stands for:

    Another
    Total
    Fu**up

This is what happens when you compromise principals to achieve an ends.

Principals Govern and ideas have consequences.
