I think what is going on is exactly what it says:

"The ShootATA web site is currently down for maintenance.

It will be back up soon.

    We apologize for the inconvenience."

Might be gagging on some of the rotten scores I manage to post from time to time. Just needs a little Pepto Bismol and it will feel all better;o)

Because of "sandbaggers" and too many people using 7-1/2's instead of 8's.

Maybe mighty mite, mynameisjoe, Dr. Longshot, et.el. crashed the site, complaining about the "added money"

With all due respect....WHO GIVES A RAT'S ASS.

All websites and servers occasionally and some times daily need to be updated or restarted.

Why is it when ATA does something that seems normal in any other field is cause for a conspiracy theory?

Just seems unusual, that's all. When the IT guys worked on our server it was over the weekend and evenings, but never as I recall, down for two or more days during the week. I liked the answer that it's in the trunk of Bob Stuart's car, headed for purgatory, best.

Obama shut it down. He said "If everybody can't be on it and use it then nobody can use it and until such time as it is bailed out it will stay that way".

Maybe this is just me, but wouldnt a better time to either make the move to Sparta, or perform maintenance be in the off season like november or December, rather than the kick off to the shoot season.

Gee Whiz, this is less than good planning.

Nutso, you nailed it. I know exactly how much pain they are going through in the move, so I have a lot of sympathy. Geez, I talked to Sparta today about scores recording and was told they couldn't get their computers up for two days.

People in Vandalia have been let go and at least several of those I've talked to are doing Herculean work trying to get the new crew trained.

Cut them some slack. Keep your own accurate records of shoots and scores on your cards. I'm figuring everything will fall in place for the Grand and the new shoot reporting software will make everything better for next year. WTH, I'm an optimist.
