It is that time of the month again -- ATA at North Hollywood Sportsman's Club, the home of the perfect target. Saturday, September 15, sign ups at 8:00 AM and shoot starts at 8:30 AM. This shoot will be in memory of 89 year old Ron Getchius who died this weekend. Ronnie was a club member for over 50 years, serving in every office, including president several times. Ronnie gave sportsmen a good name!! He could be found shooting [and hitting targets] every weekend at the club until his death. Please help us honor Ron's memory.

Not just tri-tip Fred. We are having extra tender tri-tips with a special rub slow cooked over a real wood fire along with the best chili beans anyone has ever eaten. Add some crisp salad and toasted garlic french bread to soak up all the juices to make anyone quickly forget any bad scores and be a great celebration for the good ones.

Also, this is the first chance for guys to post North Hollywood scores for the Southern California Gold Rush gold coin belt buckles. Sign up at the shoot or register online at http://www.so-cal-gold.com/. The competition runs for 3 months so the sooner you sign up and start posting scores the more fun it will be.

Here is a link to a map to the Club. http://www.so-cal-gold.com/Map_SantaClarita.html

    Dear Lisa's Boss:

Lisa is required to be at NHSC this Saturday for a very important event... the opening of the 2007/08 trap shooting year. Participation in this event should be viewed as "community service" for your employer/company and as such Lisa should receive full pay, as well as mileage. Thank you for sharing your employee's special skills with the community at large. She will be well taken care of and well fed.

    Fred... Lisa's Surrogate Mother.

    Dear Zarah:

Please keep Gary home. He needs to do the gardening, wash the cars, move the furniture from one room to the other and then back again, and prepare a month of meals. Give him enough lunch money for McDonald's [1 Angus burger with fixings... where is the Angus???].

    Gary's Only Friend: Fred

    Dear Zahra:
You must allow Gary to leave home for the day. He has an addiction to gunpowder and needs medical help. He must attend his weekly ATA meeting. That help is only available at NHSC which , by the way, is registered with the ATA, to help with this addiction. They have qualified people to help control and maintain his instability and provide the proper environment to keep his addiction in check, by providing an safe house, where he can interact with others that have the same type of addiction. This interaction will eventually make him a stable person so he can assimilate back into society without the constant restraints that others place on him. He cannot function in a garden atmosphere, he is unable to control the constant flow of fluids from a hose, the smell of cooking food makes him insane and unable to leave the grilling area. As far as furniture goes, he is unstable and cannot control himself long enough to sit in one place. Please take this prescription to his local ATA office and they will immediately fill it. If not, please contact my office and I will provide transportation to the ATA meeting. Motordoctor Joe
