    • 33% have visited the ATA web-site

    • 58% participate in fishing


    • 37% are life members

    • 15 years is the average length of membership

    • 84% attended their state shoot

    • 65% attend more than 10 registered shoots a year

    • Own an average of 9 shotguns

    • 60% are members of the NRA

    • 60% went hunting in the last 12 months

    • 44% shot sporting clays in the last 12 months

    • 53% participate in a local trap league

    • 65% subscribe to Trap & Field

    15 years is also a fallacy. Mostly around 4 unless you're counting those life members who haven't fired a shot in years!!

    I was disappointed they didn't show the percent who shoot 7 1/2 and the percent who shoot 8's.

    Now... why does the survey have to automatically be bullshit?! There is nothing stated that is out of line... as a matter of fact, for an older group of pissers (or lack therof with bulging prostates)... what's actually wrong with the survey?

    Folks who shoot trap have some money, are typically conservative and better educated with strong family values...

    Jay for one thing the average age is now higher. The knowledge of the average age increase might explain where a lot of members that were active at the time are know.

    Every year I see shooter that have been around for many years that just stop attending the shoots. Age might have something to do with it. Just a thought.
