I called and paid my yearly dues the first part of Sept with a credit card. On Nov 5, 2007 I got the card. Why so long when they had a credit card that said it was paid for and did not have to wait for a check to clear?

Call the ATA office and ask them.

Business as usual. Paid my dues before the Grand and got my card last week.

Why send out cards before all the shoots are in for sure and all the scores checked?

Good idea Neil. We could send out preliminary cards with the disclaimer on them indicating that the scores and averages may not be correct and the card should not be used for classification. If a person wanted a complete card with accurate information, they could mail in an application for one to be issued in November. A $5 fee would probably cover all costs for an accurate card. That should eliminate all of the grumbling about the cards.

I agree that the books for the year should be closed and the scores checked before the cards are printed and distributed. My new average card finally arrived about two weeks ago, but I received another with exactly the same information about two days later. From some other remarks here, I may not be the only one to get a duplicate mailing. That must be a frustrating, unnecessary expense to the ATA.

I don't expect to see my target year 2009 card until January 2009 but that is OK because all my scores are accurately recorded on the card I have now.
