Due to the severe rains over the weekend and expected rains tonight [Weds.], North Hollywood Sportsman's Club must cancel the Saturday, March 26, ATA shoot. The main road to the range has been completly washed out. We now have a 20 ft. wide by 4 ft. deep river running across the road. The range and the bridge are in good shape, just the access road is in question. Access is possible with a pontoon boat or navy inflatable... perhaps a Marine landing craft. If the rain will give us a break, we can be open in maybe a week. Anyone with a D6 or D8 available for rent?? Seriously, if you are in our area [Santa Clarita or Antelope Valley] we need your help for about two + days work. Contact me via e-mail [see above]. Fred

We our subject to mother nature. We had over 7 inches of rain in 48 hours and the river bed gets all of the run off from the entire mountain range. Also, the power plant could have drained off some of their water during this rain... sneaky. We have worked on the range drainage over the last two years and that has paid off. So when the rain lets up and we can re-direct the run off, restoring the road is easy. The water goes where it wants. Fred
