    Hi guys

I just got my 14 year old son a Beretta 12 gauge youth gun. He loves it, but the bolt release button is extremely stiff and difficult to press. Someone told me that you can buy an attachment that goes over the button and makes it easier to press.

Anyone know whether this exists, and where to buy it from?

Do a search on Beretta bolt release. There have been several threads addressing the issue and very helpful information.

Try buying a shell catcher for your beretta. They work great. It fits over the release button and is easy to push.

The Carey Closer is easy to install and will work.

Ballistic Specialties (angle port) has a video showing installation for their closer http://www.angleport.com/closures.asp?C=273618.

Devault Industries closer comes as complete kit with step by step instructions http://www.devaultind.com/DeVault_bolt_closer.htm.

    Good luck!

I have a Briley closer on my 391 and it works just fine. Have a TS shell catcher which also works good.

I wouldn't recommend the Beretta "over the button" closer. It's a piece of junk. Get an aftermarket one like Briley or Angleport's.

One thing to be cautious about if you do get an assist button/lever for the bolt closer........ and that is that when you have the barrel out of the receiver and the bolt locked back for cleaning purposes, be VERY careful how you handle the receiver because just the slightest touch can trip the bolt release and you could end up with a broken bolt handle...... or worse.
