when you can buy new for approx. $5/box.
I plan on shooting my reloads during prelim. week, then shooting the new stuff for Grand Week.
I reload once fired STS hulls, with Greendot, DRF8 wads, and STS Mag. #8 shot. at round 1180 fps. I can do this for about $2 less a box than new (after rebate). Shooting 100's of rounds does save a few bucks, and today a few bucks saved can be used for something else.
Also, there's just something about shooting something that I've made, at the Grand, it's like shooting my own reloads on the big elk hunt out west.
Buying the new stuff for Grand week is just something special also. Grand Week is Grand Week and deserves nothing but the best. I figure I'll take advantage of the $100 rebate deal from Remington.
Look forward to seeing many of you down there.

I would put my reloads against any box of $5 dollar New shells like Gun Flubs or Estates for reliability.....actually I don't have issue with Estates reliability, I just think they smell like burned garbage.....

That's good camouflage Mark. Baffle them with BS. I saw how you did last week with those "light" 1 1/4 copper 6's. Jimmy B.

Reloads --- 1 1/8 of #8 1/2s w 17.8 Titewads in STS hulls with Nobelsport primers. That seems to break something around 100 for me. (plus or minus 4). I hope to make it Plus or minus 0 in the prelims. If I can run them all in the prelims I may extend my motel reservations and take on Leo head-to-head.

However, I don't think I will need to extend my reservations.

You all have fun. This is my first time since visiting the Grand as a spectator in 1950 at the age of 13. I'm excited about it -- and very excitied about the shopping.

    Leo doesn't need to worry.

Does the management have inspectors looking at shells or does anything go?
