We just got a mini shop-vac that hangs on the garage wall, used it once seems to have a lot of suction. Got it at mao-mart.

I have an older model of one like this from Home Depot. It does a good job.

Buy one of the smaller Rigid shop vacs at Home Depot or wherever they are carried in your area. Plenty of power and small. Plus they are a wet/dry vac.

I also use a rigid shop vac, works good. But it's easier just to use the public ones for 50 cents, they have good suction and you don't have to empty, put away, run lead cords, ect.

I like using them during the summer, when the ladies are sporting shorts!

    Shannon,

I agree that the good car wash vacs are the best. The only problem is around here they are now a $1.00/cycle and it don't run long enough to clean my crew cab truck on one cycle. I just hate spending $2.00 to vacuum out my truck when i have a good vac at home. Thats why i have just started using my shop vac.

It depends upon your definition of "work".

You can always try my method. Open all doors and fire up the leaf blower.

Yes there is such a thing! Ryobi makes a rechargeable vac that uses their 18v interchangeable tool batteries.

    http://www.amazon.com/Ryobi-18V-One-Canister-P3200/dp/B000VUM3H2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1325752339&sr=8-1

It's the best portable car or gen purpose vac I have ever used. Has the suction of a shop vac w/out any wires. Great around the house. Check it out.

I bought a small compact Rigid shop vac and also a car care attachment kit to go along with it. The kit comes with a softer sided hose and several attachments for carpet, bulk ect.
