Pretty decent shotguns but parts can be somewhat problematic to find. Just don't pay too much for one. John

Franchi is owned by Beretta. Italian made - not Turkey.

Sorry, my mistake. I just had a brain fart and was thinking of Frenchy Frigons shotguns. Guess I need to take a remedial reading class. John

I have a Alcione Sporting model. I bought it when I started out shooting skeet & 5 stand about 12 years ago. As previously stated, it's a lot of gun for the $$$ ( at least then, I haven't followed their pricing since).

I don't know how they would stand up to high volume shooting though. I relegated mine to Dove duty after I bought a 682 Gold E when I got a bit more serious about skeet shooting.Mine has held up just fine though for the several thousand rounds I've put through it, and it is excellant in a dove field.

You get what you pay for. Buy a bunch (bag) of parts when you buy the gun.

I have an Alcione sporting sl and it is a bargain of a shotgun. It's built like a tank, has mechanical triggers, barrels are interchangable(12 ga and 20 ga). If you have the comb made adjustable it will fit any rt. hander. It comes with a cast-off stock. I love mine and people are always trying to buy it. Have about 40,000 rds thru it no problems. Still tight.

My experience was not good. I bought a new one when the first came out. It was a single barrel, Model 2004. I couldn't hit a thing with it and kept trying harder and harder. I think I missed the first 20+ targets with it. I took it to the pattern board and it shot about a half pattern low.

I called Stoeger and they had me send it back. I did and it was a few days short of a year before I saw it again. I tried it again and it still shot low and the ejector broke, as well. It took 4 mos. to get a replacement and they charged me for the part because I chose not to send the gun back again.

I sold the derned thing to the gunsmith that put the ejector in for me and took a beating.

Parts can be tough to get once the gun becomes a few years old.

The FRIGON guns are ones you want to passover on, but the early FRANCHI guns are a much better gun.
