I am looking at a 6 month assignment in Victor Valley. I know Redlands trap club is an hour away, just wondering if there are any trap ranges in the immediate area of Victor Valley. Thanks for any feedback.

Jon, there's the Apple Valley GC in Victorville. We called it "the rock pile" for good reason and I always loved shooting there.

Barstow has another club a few miles to the north and the AFB gun club in Victorville may still be in operation. EAFB and Palmdale GCs are to the west and good places to shoot too.

    Jon...

You have a few choices. In the immediate area is the Apple Valley Gun Club,(actually located in Victorville) then further out you have Barstow GC, and Lucerne Valley GC.

Shoot me an e-mail and I'll get you directions and more info...

    HEY HAP!!!!

I hate to tell you this...but George AFB is closed. Everyone and there uncle tried to keep it open. It is totally gone now and there is a "Rubbermaid" factory that owns the property. Chrissy drives by there everyday on her way to work, I'll have her snap you a picture. That place sure looks different!

    I sure miss that range...

You still coming down to Redlands?

Hi Matt, quail season is in here and I'm working with my pup. I may get a chance to shoot Redlands sometime after Feb. though. Here we have the Winter Chain shoot (Jan.), Spring Grand (Feb.) and our state shoot in March. I'll give you a call when I can make it over to Redlands though.

Hated to hear that GAFB GC closed down!! Gherks!
