with the price of lead being as high as it is, is there any other product we could use to break targets? years ago i remember talk of bizmuth, steel, etc. seems all metals are expensive. years ago i use to shoot with vic reinders at times, one sunday we were shooting a practice round of skeet. i said to vic, he certainly wasn't hitting the targets with any authority. he said he was experimenting with the use of split peas instead of shot. he said with the cost of lead topping $10.00 per bag, he felt some shooters couldn't afford to shoot. well as you all know, the price of shot is skyrocketing. has anyone tried anything other than lead, that would be more affordable, or heard of any other material being used. i know shooters that are shoveling used wads and seperating them when they get home for reloading. what about the ata going to 7/8 oz loads? have you heard of anything?
