If you start worrying about it you'll lose birds. Just shoot your game. Whether 1 1/8, 1 or 7/8 you have a better chance of being consistent if you shoot what you are used to. I myself like 1 oz.

Are you talking about 16 yard targets and 27 yard handicaps both? Ray

Statistically speaking.... there's probably a much higher % of 100's shot with 1 1/8 loads.....

But, you can break them with 7/8 and 1 oz....

gives us your ATA #, so we can track your progress.....

With 7/8 oz 8 1/2's there is more shot than 1 oz 8's and 1 1/8 oz 7 1/2's. That is one excellent load you are using. I use that load and even with 700x have gotten good solid breaks. It's the Indian not the arrow, good luck on the shoot. 10tenner

I shoot 7/8 oz for single and dbls 96.8 in sgls and 93 in dbls.
7/8 oz with 1 oz claybuster wad and rem primer and 17.5 Solo 1000. It works for me.
