I looked at a friends pocket watch collection the other night. He wants to sell, but is now in the hospital for awhile. The collection has 8-10 military contract watches, plus a bunch of others I cannot recall. I know there were a couple of GP Shell watches. I'd guess 30 watches or so.

If you are interested in this stuff, let me know. It may be awhile before a sale is made, but I'll keep your info and let you know when I have more info.

    pm or email

We'll need to know case size and composition. Also what particular movement is inside. A picture of the inside of the back cover will give case details. And while it's off, a picture of the movement will tell what type of bridge and frame and how many jewels. I collect Elgin lever-sets, myself.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but I collect watch fobs. I'm looking for a Hughes Tool Co. rock bit fob. Oilfield folks may know what it is.

I am not a collector but am working as a Pediatrics/Oncology nursing student. The nurse I am training with has a pocket watch that he takes pulse/respirations with and the kids just LOVE it....it has a back case that flips down so the kids can watch the movement and they mark the second hand on the front. It also has a metal front case...he called it a jeager (hunter?) but he said it that is not really important. His was a size 16 whatever that means. Would one of yours be something like that? I will start on a floor when I graduate and it would be cool. It does not have to be super fancy or really collectible, just neat looking and reliable. Thanks RICH

I might be interested if you send all pictures and descriptions to me. Please include pictures of each dial, back of the movement, and inside and outside pictures of the rear cover of the case its in. Also indicate if each runs or not. Please indicate if any parts are missing, needed to be repaired, or replaced on each watch to make it run.
    Best regards,
    Dan Schaffer
