Gene The 2000 uses the APS priming strips. IIRC CCI were the only folks who sold the primers in the strips. The 2000 used to come with 8 or so strips and a strip loader in the box. There is alinkage that allows autp powder dumps using the RCBS powder measure or you can set the measure in place and just manually dump. Adjusting the measure was a real pita. Other than a scale and dies and shell holder for particular caliber that should get you going.

I have nothing against RCBS (I have about 25 sets of their dies and a Rock Chucker), but why not get a Dillon, Gene? The Dillon 550B is sorta like a Grabber and the Dillon 650 is sorta like a 9000G. The price looks similar. Just a suggestion. Good luck.

Well I already have the RCBS as a gift - so now I am wondering what else I need to get to make this thing operational when I open the box

    Thats the main reason

I'm in the market for a progressive press and I've looked at this one and the Dillion 650. On You-tube you can watch each being used.

Anyone have a 650 for sale?

The RCBS PRO 2000 progressive press is a cadillac. It`s built big and solid and functions perfectly. RCBS stands behind it 100% all the time. Don`t hesitate to call them if you need help. Don`t call a friend. Call them, they walk you right threw any problem and replace any broken or bent parts free. Always push your primer strips, never pull them toward yourself. Get yourself the necessary shell plates you need and a carton of each correct size primers you need [APS], some die plates and your good to go. Good luck, I love mine.
