I ship a lot of packages by Priority Mail. I have never had anything lost or damaged. The service is very fast - usually 2-3 days.

I have received lots of payments by good old First Class mail. They usually take a bit longer than Priority Mail but they always get here!

    Seems to be a trend.

The things shipped to me from EBay are running 8-10 days.

Fla. and Texas seem to be the slowest.

    Poor service indeed.

Why do they call it priority??

    Regards....Gerald

I use Priority Mail all the time. I have never had a package take more than 3 days to anywhere in the US. It is usually there in 2 days. All Priority Mail packages are shipped air frieght. If i'm not mistaken, i believe the PO uses Fed Ex to handle the air part. Now Parcel Post is a completely different ball game. For the most part it is ground only and can take a week or more. I would definitly be complaining to my local PO if its taking Priority that long.---Matt

I've used Priority Mail a lot over the years, and have only had problems with one, and it was probably due to the Canadian postal service, not the USPS. Sent Terry Jordon a payment for one of his wall charts, and the envelope was last recorded as being transferred to the Canadian postal service, and it went missing for five months. Terry eventually received it, but in the meantime I sent another payment.

i use priority mail everyday in my business. Never any problems 2-4 day service. It may be your postoffice is not doing there job. Go to the post office ask to talk to the postmaster. You pay for a service you should get what you paid for.

As much as we might dislike the policies of Paypal, it eliminates this sort of thing.

I have also found that most of the online banking services have a way to wire transfer funds directly to the other persons account using the routing # & account #.

Personally, I have never had a problem with the USPS Priority Mail service. It has always been when sending something parcel post.

From SC, Priority Mail usually arrives in 2-4 days. Regular First Class in 1-2 days. It's stupid.

    Very bad advice.

Paypal WILL NOT pay if you ship firearms or gun parts. Read their terms of service. You are committing fraud when you ship firearms or gun parts, so they have no obligation to cover your loss.

    Prohibited Activities

You may not use the PayPal service for activities that:

    1. violate any law, statute, ordinance or regulation

    2. relate to sales of (a) narcotics, steroids, certain controlled substances or other products that present a risk to consumer safety, (b) drug paraphernalia, (c) items that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity, (d) items that promote hate, violence, racial intolerance, or the financial exploitation of a crime, (e) items that are considered obscene, (f) items that infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity or privacy or any other proprietary right under the laws of any jurisdiction, (g) certain sexually oriented materials or services, or (h) ammunition, firearms, or certain firearm parts or accessories, or (i) ,certain weapons or knives regulated under applicable law

    3. relate to transactions that (a) show the personal information of third parties in violation of applicable law, (b) support pyramid or ponzi schemes, matrix programs, other “get rich quick” schemes or certain multi-level marketing programs, (c) are associated with purchases of real property, annuities or lottery contracts, lay-away systems, off-shore banking or transactions to finance or refinance debts funded by a credit card, (d) are for the sale of certain items before the seller has control or possession of the item, (e) are by payment processors to collect payments on behalf of merchants, (f), are associated with the following Money Service Business activities: the sale of traveler’s checks or money orders, currency exchanges or check cashing,or (g) provide certain credit repair or debt settlement services

    4. involve the sales of products or services identified by government agencies to have a high likelihood of being fraudulent

    5. violate applicable laws or industry regulations regarding the sale of (a) tobacco products, or (b) prescription drugs and devices

    6. involve gambling, gaming and/or any other activity with an entry fee and a prize, including, but not limited to casino games, sports betting, horse or greyhound racing, lottery tickets, other ventures that facilitate gambling, games of skill (whether or not it is legally defined as a lottery) and sweepstakes unless the operator has obtained prior approval from PayPal and the operator and customers are located exclusively in jurisdictions where such activities are permitted by law.

Why a gun owner would use PayPal is a mystery.

Priority Mail, for whatever reason is slower than 1st class in just about every instance. Not sure why, it just is. You csn send a letter half way across the country in 3 days, but if you put it in a Priority Mail box it'll like take 10 days. ? ? ? The price for the service is okay, but it's not much advantage otherwise.

First of all, I don't think Paypal is anti-gun, it's anti-liability. Ebay has been sued a few times, two that I recall, for selling something firearms related.

Not letting anyone use the service for firearms related items removes the liability.

I use them all the time for other items, I just don't violate their terms of use and buy things using the service that they don't allow. My late friend, an FFl, tried to be clever with the "discrete Paypal" and found his account frozen for several weeks, then the service banished him. Took him right out of business on Ebay.

Too many complaints about the relatively new Gpal for me to trust them with my money, so, for guns, etc. I always pay using Priority Mail with delivery confirmation.

I mailed a money order to New York on Monday at noon for a gun. It got there Wednesday morning at 740 AM. Of course the guy who is selling it never checked his PO box till I prompted him on Thursday evening, then fooled around and now can't ship the gun till Tuesday (no mail on Monday).

Feedback, on that Forum, will likely be not so good.

    Bob

stokinpls---I think you either have the worlds worst luck sending things by the PO or you have something mixed up. I bet i've sent over a hundred flat rate boxes all over the lower 48 and the worst was 3 days and that happened maybe 3 or 4 times. I'm just wondering what is changing in your case. I'd be discussing it further with my local Postmaster if i had your results.---Matt

"There has got to be a better way to send payment for an item other than Priority Mail!!"

If you are just talking about just sending money try the link above the claim 10 minutes to transfer money anywhere. I have never used it but on a money transfer for payment. It might work just fine there is only one way to find out.

When sending PRIORITY MAIL ask for delivery confirmation, that way you can track it every step of the way.

Most of the time bad zips are the cause for late delivery.
