Anyone buying powder online? I have to drive 45 minutes to get my loading supplies and its getting old. I was curious to see if it was worth the hazardous charge and shipping.

i would think that it would depend on whether you want to pay an extra 35-50 bucks for your powder. most shooting suppliers will try to package powder and primers in same pack so you only have one haz mat fee. It would probably also depend on your fuel cost etc. if it would offset the hazmat fee and shipping cost. my 2 cents. dave

Im looking to place a big order so the shipping would be close to my fuel bill. Who has the best prices on powder and primers? I need three 8lb jugs of red dot and 15,000 primers.

I have been buying mine from Gamaliels. On several bulk orders I have only had to pay $20.00 for hazmat fees. (I also live 45+ minutes from my nearest supplier) For me it is worth the the fee to avoid the aggravation.

I have had great luck with Recob's both good people and service. I have a lot of trouble ever getting ahold of anyone at Connie's. Have yet to have someone answer the phone or return my call and average about 1 return email for each 4 I've sent and the replies have been useless.

Several respectable dealers will ship orders to individuals, but I have found that the shipping costs counter any savings offered by such dealers. I have found the best deals through gun clubs that will organize a large order. It is very easy to fill a large truck with a few targets and some reloading supplies.

Graf's is over $100 for chedite primers now (I believe its $129.95).

Just ordered 16# of powder and 5,000 primers from them as they pay shipping, less the $20 hazmat fee.

I had to make a quick purchase of powder recently from Connies Components, in Centralia, Wash. I normally pick my components up from them but could not make the trip before I ran out. I purchased 2 8# jugs of Green Dot online from Dakin for $207.00, shipped to my door. I had the powder in 4 days.... Dan Thome (Trap2)

I too have had great luck with Connies Components for shot and reloaders (Just purchased a 9000GN from them). I'll continue to patronize their store. My calls were always answered (maybe not right away, but they were answered) and products shipped on time. They also offered assistance with setting up my new reloader if needed.
