Anyone killing any big whitetails yet?

Missouri had their first youth hunt of the year this past weekend and apparently the kids can shoot. They harvested over 19,000 deer in 2 days.

Missouri firearms season starts this Saturday (10th)

Post some pictures if you get a big one.

    Good luck

Nebraska starts this coming Saturday, however there are huge losses in the herd due to disease. No doe shooting for me this year.

    Sue,

Was that the one you posted pictures of a couple of months ago?

Has that one been seen anymore?

    BBB:
Sorry to be slow responding. The disease effecting our deer is called:

"Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease, or EHD, is spread by biting gnats and leads to internal bleeding."

Not certain if that is Blue Tongue but it is not CWD.

I'll add my bow kill buck. Shot this p.m. around 4:30. He was chasing two does hard when he saw my decoy. Slowed to a walk and gave me a shot opportunity at 26 yards. Field dressed at 208#.

Not up to the standards of some of the young folks that have posted earlier on this thread - but a decent Indiana deer.
