I guess some people will always find a way to try and cheat! I never was one for checking shells and only saw it done twice in 44 years of trap shooting, but, this one makes me wonder! lately, there have been stories of some people putting SPENT primers in reloaded shells. The spent primers are painted with bright orange model airplane paint the are supposed to "in theory anyway", to look like a target chip if the shooter misses. Sounds pretty desperate to me,but, I guess almost "anything" is possible!!!
With the enormous $$ involved in most pots these days and with attendance dropping off on a discouraging and regular basis, some people will try anything to win a couple of bucks. (Yes, I'm being cynical...pots are getting smaller, or am I wrong?) Regards, Ed
I am sorry, but I am calling BS on this one. Like it was mentioned the primers don't have a lot of mass. Plus, you're not going to be able to see a painted primer from that distance, even if it could make it that far.
Geeee! I wonder if I dipped "each" pellet in flourescent (sp) orange????? chuckle-chuckle. I can just see all those $$$$$$$s rolling in. GRIN Ross Puls
I use black wads.. that works just as well without all the work. LOL
