On Sunday we start at 12:00. On New Years Day it will be when ever there are enough people to form squads but an educated guess would be between 11:00 and 12:00.

    Say hello if you attend.

It's a prize shoot. You can enter as many 25 bird events as you wish. The prizes are drawn, Lewis class, with 4 prizes to every 15 shooters.

Prizes are variable, just about anything you wish such as ammo, components or Grocery store certificates.

    Jerry:

Given the shoot is on New Year's Day, do you spot me points if I show up without having gone to bed & been up partying all night? I think 7 would be a good number.

Just kidding -- New Year's isn't what it used to be -- I don't think we've been up to see the ball drop in 15 years.

No hams this time? I was hoping to win another -- the one I won 2 weeks ago is almost gone.

Pete I don't know if they have any hams left. You are far removed from where I need to spot you birds. OK, maybe 1 or 2 but that's it.

The only balls that I've seen drop are kind of personal and it's not a good thing.

Hope to see you there and Happy New Year!

I'm surprised that Paradise Gun Club hasn't been mentioned. Does this mean their traditional New Year's Day meat shoots are history? I've heard that attendance has dropped off and I admit that the last one I attended was a one-squad affair in pouring-down rain, but it's a shame if they are no longer held.

Last I heard Paradise is still planning to hold their shoot, but as stated attendance has been down, so come early and shoot often.
