1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I picked up this old Alabama flag at an estate sale in Ohio a few years back. It was auctioned as a CVA flag. If anyone is interested I want $300 including shipping. Bulge PM me.

Zardozforty, it is not from the war but from the veterans groups after the war. I do have the 8th Virginia from the war. Bulge.

    Bulge,
It is not a CVA flag, really do not what CVA stands for... If if is a CS veteran orginization flag then it would be a UCV(United Confederate Veteran's Flag). It is patterned after an AOT battle flag as it is rectangular in shape not square pattern which the ANV units went to went they started receving their flags from the Richmond Depot. What also gives it away as an AOT flag is the spacing and location of the stars in the St Andrew's Cross design..

Is your 8th VA original flag 52"x52" or 48"x48"? Do you know what bunting it is? Would love to see a picture of it. In my museum we have the battle flag of the 19th GA Infantry regiment it is technically an artillery size flag not an infantry size..

    Thanks,

You are right it's UCV. Trying to do this by memory. From what you are stating it is a re-enactors flag most likely. Where is your museum?
