Gidday again, this time from sunny Orange. country town in New South Wales, Australia. their annual two day end of summer shoot.

Roughly 150 shooters turned out to brave the elements, 35 celsius Saturday with not a breath of air, 20 celsius Sunday and the heavens opened up with wind and rain, but who cares lots of fun all the same.

Events were, 25 Target Point score, 25 target single barrell, 50 target Double barrel, 45 target medley, 25 target Handicap, 15 pair Doubles.
High gun was won by a junior shooter Jason Owen 277/280. not bad considering the conditions.

Some of you may know the three guys shooting off on posts 1-3-5, Post 1, Geoff Nash. Post 3, Allan Jones. Post 5. John Crompton. all have competed in the States a number of times at various State shoots and the Grand.

The guy on post 1 in the third last photo, Matt Patmore, ran a 100 at the Cardinal Classic in the Fridays handicap along with Pat Mcarthy and another guy, great shooting from a bushy from Downunder.

Would love to see some more of the local shoots in the USA. lets see some please.

    Bazooka Joe,

We shoot 6 man squads, the young guy in the red/white jacket will move to post 4 as soon as post 4 shoots his target as he is about to do, we shoot and move after every shot, thats why we appear such a fit looking bunch (LOL).

We shoot Handicap 5 man squads, 5 per lane, us guys that have shot in the USA are trying to change our way of shooting to 5 man, 5 per lane but change is hard to come by, and all most guys want to shoot is boring old Double Barrel.

You can see by the photo of our flag (Union Jack) in photo No. 3 that there was a stiff breeze blowing which made conditions " fun".

It was good to see our flag flying at a shoot, (something we do not see here often enough) one thing I have noticed in my trips to the USA you sure are a patriotic bunch, Old Glory everywhere you go (which is great thing to see).

    Regards,

    Release................
