This is from another thread reguarding the mx-8B. Do all mx8B's have a screw in choke for the bottom barrel and fixed top barrel with a flat rib? Or do some have both barrels screw in chokes. So with a flat rib, it would be used for sporting clays and not trap? Thanks Dutch

Before I heard someone said he had a MX-8B that has choke tubes in both barrels (yet to confirm if both factory), MX-8B were all bottom barrel chokes & top fixed. Flat rib and coil springs.

They were pigeon and Bunker guns.

Appears as though the MX-8B for sale at Great Lakes sporting has aftermarket Briley tubes in both barrels. Nice looking gun, but aftermarket chokes and custom stock keep it from being "original", but still a good gun... Regards, Ed

Ed, it's not a collector's gun, Briley chokes and custom stock (as long as it's not hideously shaped) does not affect it's value.

Dutch, A Mirage Perazzi with Briley thinwalls usually commands zero premium, and never any loss of value.

Other manufacturer's chokes? eh ... harder sell and harder buy.

Steve I have seen unaltered *European MX-8 with ct/ct.
