That's why we need a flat tax. Fire the IRS.

This was about state property taxes which have nothing whatever to do with the IRS.

doggie, please wake up. What I said is that the IRS isn't involved in this tax. Why is that so difficult for you to understand? There is a difference between federal income taxes which involve the IRS and state property taxes which don't involve the IRS, but involve the state tax authorities instead. It's really not all that complicated.

If you interpreted what I said to mean that the bimbo shouldn't pay her state property taxes, you are full of Obama. Frankly, since she's from another state, whether she pays state taxes or not is none of my business and I con't care one way or the other.

If you remember, Texas had a similar personal property tax on boats, airplanes, RVs etc. a few decades ago until the people rebelled and forced the state to do away with this bullshit tax. At the time, I had an airplane which I had to keep moving around to avoid the tax until it was repealed. Do I feel guilty about avoiding this tax- hell no, I'd do it again.

Why is everyone so upset. The standard for qualifying as a democratic legislator or cabinet chair is to not pay your taxes or have illegal aliens as nannies. I do not think the DNC specifies which tax is better to avoid paying just as long as it is a lot. And we all know how high you can go if you are undocumented yourself.

I believe I am gonna be OK. I don't own an airplane and I wouldn't go back to New York for the Bannerman Castle, still full of guns.

I don't think anyone on TS, if they owed $370,000 in taxes, fed, state, county or city, SOMEONE would be breathing down YOUR neck to Pay up!!

She should resign her seat, along with all the other tax dodgers in DC and the White house!

Dogg, perhaps you should turn me in for the big reward. Better yet, feel free to pay my "share" since it bothers you so much- didn't know you were a socialist with all the share BS. You socialists always want a share of what's mine.

Doggie, if you had been alive in the 18th century, you would have been lecturing the colonists in Boston to pay the tea tax since it was their "share". You must have immigrated to Texas.

Yes indeed, big bowser, listen to the liberal legend 22,44,88,99. It's comical how how started harassing me solely because I correctly pointed out that doing away with the IRS would have no effect upon STATE taxes. Go figure.

I have no dog in this fight, just pointing out that the original article did mention the $88,000 repayment to the US Treasury for improper campaign deductions. The IRS was involved in part of this scandal. Either way, it's just more of the do as I say, not as I do.......liberal elitist mentality.

"U.S. (Democrat) Sen. Claire McCaskill's airplane has caused her more political turbulence, as she acknowledged she may owe more than $287,000 in back taxes on the private aircraft.

McCaskill has already written an $88,000 personal check to the U.S. Treasury Department to reimburse money from her Senate office account used to fly the plane around Missouri, including one flight that was political in nature.

On Monday, she arranged a conference call with reporters to announce that her personal liability may be even greater. McCaskill said she had sent a check to the St. Louis County Department of Revenue for $287,273 to cover four years' worth of personal property taxes, plus interest and penalties.

"This was a mistake," McCaskill said. "It should have been reported in Missouri. It should have been paid in Missouri."

She also said she had persuaded her husband, a wealthy developer, to 'sell the **** plane."

    Just FYI,

    Kip
