Hi again,In regards to the used 682 unsingle I just purchased and the adjustment of the rib;do I need to loosen the screws that are on the bottom of the rib hidden by the forend or just the front set screw by the muzzle before adjusting it?If not, what are the two screws on the rib under the forend for? Thanks in advance.

There are two locking screws under the forend that clamp the rib in place so it doesn't ring and rattle. Loosen them, then the one in the adjuster and retighten in reverse order.

Don't over-tighten the adjusting set screw on the front. The rib will split. When you get it where you want it I suggest a little blue locktight on the 3 screws.
