In a time where so much is being made about our first black president, Ann Coulter made the following observation in her column of 2/25/2009:

” But as long as the nation is obsessed with historic milestones, is no one going to remark on what a great country it is where a mentally retarded woman can become speaker of the house?”

I feel like I'm fairly conservative by nature, but Ann makes me feel like a far left liberal.

I would prefer IMPEACHED and thrown out of office. Maybe we wouldnt have to pay her retirement forever.

I have a solution. Rethink voting requirments. A person would have to be a fully self supporting taxpayer to vote. No public housing bums, No welfare mamas, no wards of the state, no 30 year old unemployed punks who still live with their parents. In other words, only the people who have vested interest in the system get to make the decisions about how to run it. Non producers would not have the privilege. I would venture to believe, we would get our country back.

In retrospect...maybe the "poll tax" wasn't such a bad idea after all.

Timberfaller, with all due respect, there are things that should not be put in print in a public forum. I was dead serious about a post like that getting a person arrested.

No, not at all. Threatening the Speaker of the House with bodily harm can get you a prison term.

Leo, be careful what you say, thats almost what was required by our founders, ONLY land owners could vote back then.

Hoosier, it just shows you how far this country has fallen,"free speech" has been neutered!

Its when you go from saying what on your mind, to doing a "action" that should get you into trouble!

Just speaking out loud is a "Right" or it used to be.

Hey it was only a friendly warning. They don't like guns now and threatening the Speaker of the House with a firearm is not the way to further our cause.
