    AN INCONVENIENT UTILITY BILL: "Gore’s mansion, located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES). . . . The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average. Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359."<br>

    Do you doubt for one minute that there aren't Republicans whose homes use as much electric as Gores and perhaps more?

    Mix, I think the gist of the message is-

    Does this guy really _believe_ the crap he's spewing?

    Because, if he lives his personal life as if he doesn't...then why should we pay him any mind as he attempts to invalidate the entire modern industrial economy with junk science?

    If Gore wants to show leadership in this "global warming crisis", he needs to donate his mansion for use as a treatment facility for the mentally ill homeless (a big liberal issue) and buy a smaller, more suitable home that doesn't have such conspicuous consumption. And stop flying to his lectures and take Amtrak and public transportation (after all, we're told to take public transportation, and Amtrak is the fuel saving government mode of transportation).<br>
    <br>
    But he won't. Because rich liberals like him aren't the problem. It's us, the "little people".<br>
    <br>
    He'll never be a great leader, just another liberal hypocrite.

    They still can't answer why we also had the same warming spells in the year around 900 AD and 1400 AD -- No Cars and industry around then!!!!!!! Maybe the cows were farting more back then! What an asshole, and he is getting richer on that shit too!

    I seem to remember reading about a lot of ice on the North American continent. Ice Age I believe it was called. I think I heard it was destroyed by SUVs and coal.

    Just remember if it weren't gettimg warmer it would be getting colder.

    The ultimate goal of the liberals and socialists pushing global warming is to get a mandate to increase their power to enact more social engineering and raise taxes.

    Not bad for the size of the house.

    You should see Rebas light bill.

    She even lights up the trees in the horse pasture.

    The first post said he CONSUMED 20 times the national average. The price of green power wasn't the point.

    No, it's not ok to consume 20 times the national average, regardless of how it's generated.

    And what about is private jet?

    Oh come on, the liberals are pushing this "yeah but Al Gore buys GREEN POWER" horsecrap.<br>
    <br>
    So what? The point is, he's using up energy in amounts far beyond what the "little people" do. And even if it is Green Power, it's still power from the grid that will have to be made up with non-Green Power to supply someone else.<br>
    <br>
    Yeah, rap starts and drug user baseball players have mansions too. But they did not write a book and make a movie telling the rest of us that WE have to make sacrifices while hypocritically living in a energy sucking mansion and flying private jets to lectures.<br>

    Sounds like Sammie wants a ride in the Gulfstream.

    I was trapped in a 737 for 4 hours at Minneapolis because the whole west coast was shut down. The reason? Al Gore was going to walk through the Phoenix airport and they didn't want any peons around. this was before the election.

    Luke AFB is right next door, about 10 miles away, with all the security you would want.

    The prick had to put on his power show anyway. He should get together with Pelosi.

    Well now let's see Gore is the "world is coming to a end because of the US citizen using all the worlds resources". Electric power generated with fossil fuels the problem. And that private jet he gets around on really helps also.

    There is a certain Texan in the White House that his own home runs on geo-thermal heat and cooling. at about 20% of what a normal home would use in electricity. Yet he is a global warming terrorist? And this was done way before he was president unlike other presidents that let the taxpayer do it at their expense.

    But the liberal media won't even print that it don't go with global warming terrorist that he must be painted in your eyes.

    Sammie, youre not getting the point. We don't care how much power he uses. We just don't want him telling us how to run our lives which is what he IS doing!!!!!

    An electric range would account for his high electric bills. It takes a lot of electricity to cook up enough food to fill him up.
