An EXPERT gun fitter within 100 miles of Chicago?

    Okay. I got the message. I should have my gun fitted. Yes, Old Mike can give me a hand and Pete used to do it until his rheumatism got the better of him.


    I'm open to advice..who, what, where.

    I used Alan of Elite Custom Gunstocks, he did a great job fitting me and he's in our general area.

    Al Braner will help you out. He is expensive, but you get what you pay for. He also does fabulous stock work.Bob

    Until you can find a gun fitter try mounting the gun with your eyes closed. Feeling the cheek pressure and make sure you are putting the gun on the same spot on you shoulder. Then open your eyes. You should have a snowman made with he front and rear beads. Move the comb up or down right or left until you have a snow man made with your front and rear bead when you open your eyes. One bead on top of the other. This worked for me. If you do not have adjustable comb you need a gun fitter.....If the gun is too long you need a ....
