There is a "school of Thought" out there that thinks that, in the next 25 or 30 years, America will split up or fractionalize or Balkanize like the Balkans in Eastern Europe...ie

The South from Texas to Florida as its own country...

The Midwest...The East coast...The West coast...The Rust Belt States...

all trading with each other, each with its own economy, its own military, its own currency.........

Where's Grammie when we need him...

    regards

Oh yeah, America is splitting up all right.

But not geographically. It is splitting into two classes, elitist and populist. The elitists will control the massive central government, which will have ultimate power to make all life decisions for the populists. Populists will depend totally on the government for all of their needs.

The initial structure for this new class system will be installed this January when the liberals take control of the presidency and both houses of the legislature. They are pretty close to having total control of the judiciary branch right now. A couple more Supreme Court picks will complete it. Once in place, there will be no stopping the march towards total socialism, rife with the corruption that creeps into all socialistic societies.

This class warfare will exist for a very long time, until the masses finally wake up and decide to shed their bondage through revolution. It will be bloody. When its over, we will start the cycle all over again.

Obama being elected and implimenting his ideology and installing his baggage just might be "the straw that broke the camels back".....

I wish that would happen but not a chance. On the map of red and blue the blue is growing like a cancer. It started in the largest cities in the northeast and west coast and spread like a cancer. Up and down the west coast, throughout the entire Northeast, to Florida from New York retirees, then into the rust belt of the Midwest, into North Dakota, Missouri and Iowa, up from Mexico through New Mexico and into Colorado. The red states of the center of the country and the South are shrinking. Even Virginia and North Carolina have the cancer now. It is a terminal cancer. It will kill the victim. And when freedom dies in America, it dies in the world. It was America alone that spread freedom and democracy through the world. It was America alone that stood up to the tyrants of the world. I see dictatorships sprouting up all over the world and nobody to stop them. Obama won't. He has his own dreams of dictatorship and one party rule. Take over all the peoples needs and you own them. I see the world on the brink of a new dark age.

Its going to be a continuing scene of Ugly regardless of who is elected because Senate and Congress is corrupted, self serving and has lost sight of serving the People.

IMO both McCain and Obama are bad for Middle Class America but Obama will accentuate just how bad it is and how bad it is going to get.

However I do not see a new dark age...

Blood in the streets maybe but no dark ages....

I don't mean immediately. That is a littlt to dramatic, even for me. But I don't see Obama or the Democrats standing up to the little dictators that rise up in the world. In fact, I would see them doing everything they could to encourage the little Chavezes and Castros and Saddams. Putin will roll Obama. So will Iran. Obama has already promised drastic cuts in our own military for his new social welfare. Biden was half right. Obama will be challenged. But he will fail.

The first "abnormal" cells under the microscope are called "Independent Voters." They're not full-fledged cancer cells yet, but they're where it begins. They are free agents who vote for whoever promises them the most. When neither party promises (or delivers) enough to them, then they say things like, "We need a third party."

After January, Obama will work with Congress to start constructing new blood vessels to supply these cells with what they want. The only known treatment is palliative care (Flat Screen TVs, NASCAR, fishing shows, pick your poison boys...)

Highflyer, you are mostly right, with Obama I can see a disaster event much greater than 911, it will take 2 or 3 years but his FP weakness will be the accelerant....sad.

Buzz-gun, who will represent the real people...?

    who are the real people...?

    where's Grammie

There is a school of thought that the Republican Palin/McCain ticket will cure everything that the prior Republican administration caused and that Joe the Plumber has the right answers to something, though he can's see Russia from where he works or something.

    CharlesR1100...

Are you that stupid as to lay all the blame for the current fiscal mess on just the Bush Admin?

Haven't we had a democratically controlled congress for a few years now? Why haven't the demo's fixed all this alleged mess?

If you're gonna point fingers....take 'em out of your nose first!

    Curt...well, look.

You think Obama will cause an economic disaster like none other. Right? So let Bush take "credit" for the current economic disaster. Because...

In the coming 2009 bigger disaster, under Obama, you can look back and tell us how good, in comparison, 2008 really was under Bush. Right? How he was responsible for the great 2008. That 2008 really was not a problem at all due to Bush handling.

You know the next four years under Obama will be a disaster.

So in 2008 you don't want to say the dems are to blame. Give Bush all the credit.

    Curt...get with the program.

There is just too much information availabe to blame Bush for the current mess. Those who do are blind, deaf or both. To those who blame Bush, does the word "igorance" mean anything to you? The entire group of elected crooks should be fired and new folks put in office. But the same crop of bad apples keep getting reelected. Go figure. Jake
