Just to add to the lost Hero sited here And with all due respect Bob Howard pasted away in December of 09. That isn't meant to take away from what he did he is a true American Hero.

We have also lost 3 more Medal Of Honor recipients since then

    http://www.cmohs.org/recipient-detail/3220/bacon-nicky-daniel.php

Staff Sergeant Nicky D. Bacon passed away on Saturday, July 17th, 2010.

    http://www.cmohs.org/recipient-detail/2624/baker-vernon.php

First Lieutenant Vernon Baker passed away on July 13, 2010.

    http://www.cmohs.org/recipient-detail/2735/finn-john-william.php

Lieutenant John W. Finn, the oldest Medal of Honor recipient, passed away on May 27, 2010.

I just thought it might be a point of interest to those that follow these brave men's lives.

Bushmaster1313 Nothing to worry about I wasn't saying that to emphasize the date of his death. I posted it to make sure the other three American Hero's got their share of the recognition.

America has lost 4 of her living Hero's in the past 7 months there are only 88 MOH recipients left. There have been no live recipients since the Viet Nam era. There have been recipients since but none that lived all were awarded posthumously.

There is some great reading about some great Americans at this and some other sites. This one to me has about the best coverage on these True American Hero's. Some of the things these brave Men did is almost unbelievable. None More so than Bob Howard. He was nominated for the MOH three times but in the Modern Military you can only receive the MOH once. Robert L. Howard is one of those men that just shows everyone what some Americans are capable of.

Thanks for posting this I think everyone should read and know as much as they can about these great Americans. Another that everyone should read is the citations of Ed Freeman another true American Hero.
