I am saddenend but not defeated by this election. This candidate, meaning Romney,no matter how well intentioned, was not strong enough to defeat such a ringer. When you are fighting someone who is throwing someone elses money out the windows it is hard to win.Until Republicans wake up and start nominating a real conservative,a real contrast,to the same old tax and spend leftist we are in store for the same old results.

Hopefully gridlock by the house will save our nation from sure humiliation and defeat until a true leader can be offered and elected.

I am sad that I was born too late to really live what this country offered from the 40s to the 60s and before.

But,I can tell you this, things won't be right and good until a huge majority return to the ways that made this country great.

I pretict a time of trouble and tribulation.A time of true self evaluation. If this evaulation does not spur some nationalism then americanism is lost.Saddly, there will be a true degradation of the american ideal. That hopefully, will awaken a new generation of americanism. If not,we had better become comfortible with a lesser way of life.A lesser ideal.A lessor spot in the world.

It is a new country.I am sadden by that.I am being denied the right to persue my happiness.I hope I live to see the country that my parents grew up in.

    Wrong DARR!

We must make inroads into their coalition....there are not enough conservatives to win a national election. PERIOD.

It was not "purity" of conservatism that defeated Romney...it was the Unions, the gay agenda, the urban hordes of welfare dependents, the indoctrinated young female college students, the Mexican-Americans.....

In virtually all battleground states, the urban centers voted for Obama....apparently, cement makes for a breeding ground for "entitled victims"....

They will IMPLODE....it is a matter of when...in the meantime, MOVE TO A RED STATE!

When the Republican becomes the party of inclusion it will win and hold its wins! But when the party continues to "under the table exclude blacks, hispanics, gays and even to a certain extent females. We will be on the short end time and time again! All one has to do is spend 30 minutes on this site and you can figure out quickly if this site is a reflection of so called Republican values. : )

We won one demographic..white male and basically lost every other. We have become a party of exclusion and until we change that we are going to continue to be under the thumb of these liberal sh^theads in Washington.

    Ponytail in WI,

No, there is a simpler answer. Those of us who believe in traditional American values and hold dear the premise that one has to EARN what one acquires; cannot accept the "victimization mind set" of parasitic, impulse riddled, irresponsible, reckless and pleasure-centered creatures who inhabit most urban Blue States.

There is a moral divide. You see, we believe in PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, hard work and making intelligent choices. We reject the "New Normal."

The answer is simple: move to a RED STATE and take one's family. We will deprive the "parasites" from their tax-paying "hosts" and will be moving to places where social mores and community standards are more compatible with one's own.

If you saw the election map, you can see we are fundamentally like Serbia/Bosnia/Croatia.....there is a values war going on...the country is divided....half of us do not agree with Blue State values....again, the answer is to escape Blue Hell and move to a Red State....let us start the great American Migration...

Even if a migration took place, when those in the blue state see how much better those in the red state are doing, those in the blue states will move to the red state and ruin it also.

Rick, is right. The miserable sobs in the blue states move away to get away from massive government, but the first thing they do in their new home state is demand the same big government.

Look what the Northeast trash has did to the state of Fl, about to do to NC, and VA. Those 3 states where solid Red states, now are on the verge of switching.

Look what the CAs have done to the West. They have turned LasVegas into just East LA.

What troubles me most is the infiltration and sway of our govt by illegal residents who should have no word at ALL in our governing...that is the true disease that is decaying and bleeding this country to death...it will destroy us from within in a very short time as we move so far left that we end up like 3rd world regimes all those invaders came from...without strong immigration enforcement and secure borders the flood will eventually drown us all

If by inclusion of blacks, latinos, gays,et al,you mean bend over for them then what has been acomplished.I agree that socially Republicans should move a little left but if that means becoming socialist in the process then I disagree.

When things get worse, and they will,we have got to take control of the discussion. At some point the give aways will become impossible to pay for.People have to understand what has made this country great and what is tearing it down.By people I mean blacks, latinos, gays,et al.

I understand that politically speaking, discipline is hard to sell. But that is what is needed. It is harder to work and pay for things than it is to sit on the couch and receive them I get that. But a meager government styphen is no way to live.Until kids of all ethnic, and religious backgrounds aspire to achieve again we all have a problem. Many young adults want a nice safe government job where they don't have to produce and can't get fired. The young person dreaming of owning his own business is hard to find these days. And I believe the playing field is level.Hell,we have a black president.

So as distasteful as it may be to some Republicans, the party needs to move socially to the left.I am not talking about social activism but a Libertarian point of view. Not condoning or promoting any personal life style so long as it is not harming anyone.Legalization of drugs,no more monetary advantage for the married are two planks of a platform that the Republicans should adopt.End this silly war on drugs and spend a minute percentage of the huge savings on education and rehabilitation.BOOM, the cartels are out of business.Get goverment out of the marriage business all together. That is something that should be handled by religion and parents. And speaking of religion,a review and possible adjustment of their tax loopholes.I am not against religion at all,I consider myself a christian, but religion is something government should not promote. That is the job of churches and the like.

While adopting these Libertarian values and others the Republicans have to do a better job of explaining the economic solutions to the problems we have. And act like true conservatives to solve them.Less regulation, less taxation, less governmental involvement in business period.

These social and economic advancements would infuse some freedom into society as a whole and possibly put the Republican Party in a better light with the groups who feel excluded.

Long winded ,I know, but a few ideas and thoughts from a twisted mind.

    Darr,

Your comments are noted for their stupidity. They are just eloquently said better than the other uneducated morons that post on this platform. Bangalore, LOOK AT THE DEMOGRAPHICS you moron! We got beat everywhere..young, old, black, Hispanic and women! Do the math you frggin hillbilly! We still have way to many racist people that think every black and hispanic don't work. I got some news for you ridge runners there are more white people unemployed and on welfare than minorites! I suspect there are a few of you who have your hand out to Uncle Sam while posting on these subjects.

This election really sets me off and now that its over the first thing we hear is Romney wasn't Conservative enough...MORONS! The most successful Presidents in the last 25 years were Ronald Reagan, George Bush and Bill Clinton. Why because all three were moderates in their own parties and knew who to work with the other party to get what they wanted! With the comments I see on here calling blacks porch monkeys or all Hispanics..illegals. We are going to get stomped over and over and over. Grow up and stop reguritating whatever you hear from idiots like Rush, O"Reilly and Beck. There are the same as those liberal idiots like Rachel Maddow, Keith Olberman, Ed Schultz and Bill Mahrer.

Use your brains and think for yourself! If we don't become the party of inclusion, soon we will be the losing party on every Presidential election. Then you get to suck hind tit by all those you despise and hate.

    Ponytail in Cheeseland,

In order to "include" there has to be a modicum of "congruence"......some similarities in values and philosophy is essential in order to "include" others....the choice is clear: compromise with those with similar values or, wait for the inevitable liberal cannibalizing event.

Tax increases and cuts in the armed forces will come back to HAUNT the liberals....unemployment will double, gasoline will be $7 a gallon, the economy will worsen, family income will plummet.....You see, there are not enough "rich" people to tax...there are not enough aircraft carriers to scrap...eventually, Obama will run out of money...and the dependent, entitled hordes will cannibalize each other....We will be Spain then Greece....then, liberals will be refuted and we will reclaim our country!

Yes, folks a horrific BLUE DAWN has descended upon our once great country!
    God Bless the USA!
