If others understood how "mental" Greg Hissem was about about his work, no one would ever have to ask this question. He gives added meaning to the word "meticulous".

Greg & Rod's are real businessmen. They have a real place of business & stand behind their work. Furthermore, if something goes wrong they have enough insurance to make you whole. Greg has done several guns for me & Rod's has done great work on other people I know guns.

To me there are many stock people who can do a good job cutting an adjustable comb...the key, however, is what comb hardware they use.

They are not all alike. I like the ones with jack screws instead of plastic spacers and, for my money, DeVault makes the best hardware with plenty of hardened steel where its needed.

Another pump for Greg Hissem. His one week, means one week, not two weeks. Awesome work as well. He seems to know what you want and then goes one step further.----Matt

Greg Hissem did a fantastic job installing an adjustable comb and RAD system on my Perazzi TM-1. The hardware he uses is built like a tank and the craftmanship is excellent.

Equally impressive to his work is his attitude. Before doing my stock he requested photos of me with the gun shouldered. I sent him several photos, which he used to determine where the stock should be cut.

I'm now in the market for another gun and his advice on factory adjustable combs (and guns in general) has been very valuable. Phil Kiner recommmended him to me and I was very impressed.

I have to say Greg Hissem and Rod's Custom stocks are about the best I have ever seen, and I really could not tell you which one is better, for they are both just excellent -- and I have used both several times. You will not go wrong with either one of these experts!! the beav
