Remember in the old days when we used layers of MoleSkin to raise the comb a bit? I'm looking for one of the adhesive comb pads they make now but the only ones I can find are on MidwayUSA's website -- the Sorbothane cheek protectors by Kick-Eez. I don't like those because the surface abrades away too easily and the length isn't sufficient (they're tall but fore-to-aft length is minimal).

Where can I get one of those longer, spongy rubber ones I've seen at a couple of shoots?

    Thanks,
    Gary

Is this the one you're talking about? I only see one. I'd like one a little thicker.

    Thank you,
    Gary

I would get the thinner one and put a narrow piece of moleskin under it for extra height at the comb if necessary. If you have a thicker one or make the moleskin too wide you will add extra cast on to your comb and may no longer have the beads inline.

Battenfields(battenfieldsportinggoods.com) sells a stick-on that is a longer length than Kick-Eez. Plus the "slim side" design adds comb height without pushing you off the stock.

Tracyhunter, I get it in the crafts dept if you need more height just cut a small piece stick it on top and cover it with a bigger piece that way you will not thicken the comb and increase the cast. I some times use a heat gun to help the bonding of the two pieces works great all for 99 cents.
