I need to add about an inch to the length of pull on my 687 silver pigeon field grade 12 gauge. I'd prefer something I can do easily myself rather than needing to fit parts or go to a gunsmith. I can probably add about a half inch by going to a larger pre-fit butt pad, but I need more. Are there pre-fit spacers available? Any other options? Thanks.

I would get a 1/2" spacer and get a recoil pad that is 1/2" longer than the one you have. I was also wondering if the gun was shot by a midget before you got it.

The addition of a pad adjuster should finish making up the distance needed. I have one on nearly every target gun I own.
