Putting a new rib on gun that has never had one. I have soldered them on years ago. But now with the new adhesivies which is done most now days? It just don't seem as durable to epoxy them but I am told they hold every bit as good a solder. Bill

I just added a rib from http://www.keensights.com/ I followed their directions which are on their web site. They use a black silicone adhesive sealant by permatex. My came out great. Joe

Epoxy does not work well the harmonics of shooting will cause the rib to loosen or worse yet fly off Silicone from the auto parts store works wonderful have a rib on 10 years now solid as a rock.

No the name is "black silicone adhesive sealent". Its marked as Permatex item#81158 on the 3oz tube. I don't think there is anything very speical about it. Sure works and looks good. One guy at the club didn't believe it did it myself. Joe

Cameo Shooter, make a mock up out of balsa wood, paint black and tape it to your barrel, add or subtact material until you find the height that works best for you. Then you will know what height to order.

B12 is asking about installing a rib on a plain barrel, not installing an add-on rib over an existing rib...
