1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

All this stuff sounds good, but HOW DOES IT SHOOT?

My bone stock Browning A-Bolt II Heavy Barrel BOSS in 308 will do this on any given day. I paid $850 for it in 2003.

Any idea what caliber that rifle is? The 1-10" twist suggests a lot of possibilties; the chambering might be in the text but all caps makes it hard to read.

We always got the best accuracy with a 14 twist and 168 grain hollow point boat tails in the 308. HMB

I think that 1-14 is pretty much standard but so many of these siper/tactical guys want to shoot heavy bullets even in a .308 that the 1-10 has become very common.Jeff

I still wonder how it shoots. The factory hunting fodder on the gun ain't gonna make it.

C'mon, guys, you are supposed to get all moist over the word "Tactical".

Reminds me of the hot rod guys who bought bolt on parts and called their engines "race".

Nice rifle, if he has that much money in it he's a little sore too.

my remington 7600 puts em in the top of a beer can at 200 yds. all you need here in MI. Had to polish the trigger assembly, but what's a couple of hours? I'm glad to read that there were others that couldn't digest this thread. Bill Wheeler

Ok i'll join. This is with my shotgun. 4 shots at 100yds with 300gr Hornady SST Sabot slugs. It's a $200 H&R Ultra Slug Hunter with a $130 2-7x32mm Nikon ProStaff shotgun scope. I guess i better polish some parts and see if it will do a little better cause an 1.25" 4 shot group from a slug gun is pathetic. :)

A lot of guns shoot well at 100 yds...I'm guessing this gun will shoot well at 1,000 yds.

I had an A-Bolt browning shot that shot like that, never what I had. Sold it.

Kinda like advertising a K80 on ARF.com probably the wrong audience to appreciate this fine Tactical Masterpiece.

A civilian trying a 1000 yard shot with a 308 is not likely to hit a circus tent.

A 5 mph crosswind will move the 168 gr 308 EIGHT FEET at 1000 yards, not counting the FORTY FOOT + drop at that range.

Few folks outside the military can do this, simply because of the cost of ammo and training. If Uncle Sam is not paying, it gets really expensive.

I imagine this poor fellow IS sore.
