? about shipping loaded ammo.

    What are the proceedures and who are the carriers that will accept loaded shell shipments.

    ORM-D on the outside of the shipping carton... USPS, UPS and FedEx Ground should have no problem. I personally would use FedEx because of the great discounts I get from being an NSSF member.

    I remembered reading something about labeling, but wasn't sure. Thanks for the heads-up on it not being charged as Haz-Mat.

    I shipped ammo with UPS before. Went to the UPS store and they filled out all the required paperwork. I know the Post Office does not ship ammo. Fedex will ship ammo according to their website. Look under section G on the link above.

    I have about 20 boxes of factory loaded rifle ammo to dispose of and was trying to figure out how to get rid of it.
