1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

    Aaaargh...if it

I get so tired of looking at ads for a gun I am interested in and scrolling through all the replies and bumps to get to the bottom and find it's SOLD.

Why don't people delete their ad when the gun is sold?

It makes for a good refrence for people looking to sell in the future, that way everyone can see what the asking price was at least. May not know what the actual selling price is but you know about where to start your asking price at least.

Hope that answers your question somewhat at least...

Ok but how bout marking it sold pending funds in the title. I have been seeing that quite a bit lately and has saved me the time and aggrivation of reading all of it for nothing.

I am with Jerry Lewis. Seller should note in the title that it has been sold and post that it has been sold pending receipt of funds.

Seller deletes his post(s) only his post(s) will be deleted, the title and all the responses will still be there.

What I can't understand is why some people will bring a sold item back to the top?

Just marking it SOLD is enough. In fact it's more information. Deleting just makes it a waste of time going back and trying to find the thread. Just saying :)o)

Should be a rule on this site that after 7 days and the item isn't sold price must be reduced or the item removed. A minimum would be established for the amount of reduction.

The original poster can delete his thread, but, unfortunately, the balance of the posted responses stay, and, therefore the thread title appears.

The only way to dump a thread entirely is to ask a Moderator to do so.

I do like Hitapairs idea but yes some need to quit beating dead dogs like gslam and his Beretta reciever and his Colt.

I do see great bargins on here every now and again, We all get em if we are lucky to catch the post quick. I had a Remington 1100 skeet barrel on here litterally 3 minutes before I had response and the money order in the mail that very day!!!!

It does get over run here but we also have older people here who dont quite understand the whole upping thing or deleteing thing. They are just happy to come here post or see and sell. Perhaps a moderator should do more to delete old threads or sold threads.

Hard to say just happy we have this place.

    Jerry Lewis BTW up TTT
