I was given a box of these shells and was surprised how good they hit targets from the 16.The recoil was the softest I ever felt.I would like to know If anyone has the powder and shot amounts for this load.I use AA hulls and winchester 209 primers.I use clays powder and have a scale.

    thanks,

    joe

Why don't you cut one open and get all the details.....shot size, amount of shot, wad, etc?

For what ever reason Clays at 1.oz of shot can get you down to 1125fps. But at 26grams only goes down to 1200fps. I started loading these for my wife. Then I started shooting them. Ran 50 and 75 str8 with them. Also have worked just fine back to the 21.5 line. All though I use STS hulls.
    STS hull
CCI 209, all that i been able to get locally
    15.4 grains Clays
Waa12sl and or Rem TGT12 wads. The Rems are a bit harder to come across locally
1 oz shot. At this point what ever I can find. I like 7.5 for everything.
Recently been shooting 20g out of my XT with chambermate gauge reducer. Very light recoil and fun to shoot.

1911, gave you the site. You are going to have to change powder to get the loads the same. Win. has a new powder out now,(made and sold by Hodgdon)and on their website called AA Lite. You can get 7/8 loads down to 900 fps or so, maybe less. The powder only goes as high as l and l/8 oz. loads to ll45 fps. Very good powder for recoil sensitive shooters. Great loads in 7/8 to l oz. shells. You can load very slow. You can't do that with Clays, powder will not burn well at the lower pressures needed for slower loads. Good Luck. Break-em all. Jeff

I got two jugs of the AA Lite on sale and have been loading 1 oz od 8's for the 16 yard line. Great powder and only 14.1 gr in the load I use so relatively cheap too.

I used manuf. data and Grenduster wads.

Did the box have a feather on it? If so they are feather lites. Feather Lites are loaded with 26 grams (about 15/16 oz or 400 grains) of shot. The Feather Lite load that I use was published in Shotgun Sports in August 2001. It is: AA hull, Win 209 primer, 14.2 grains of American Select powder, Win WAA12L wad (grey), and 400 grains of hard shot. I've run 25s with this from the 16, and it's great for skeet. It chronos at about 1000fps. It's only 4600psi, so it won't work some autos, but it's very clean and consistent even with the low pressure.

    Shoot well and often,

    Mark.

Factory shot load is 26 grams, not 24.

    Shoot well and often,
