I would like to get a new lighter weight field gun for hunting pheasants and the specs on the A400 Xcel light look pretty good.
Anyone have anything to say, good or bad about them??

twostraight, How is the recoil when you pull the trigger on the 1 1/4oz loads??
Recoil is one reason I'm not running out to get a Benelli ultra light.

I have the Benelli Ultra light that I use for hunting Pheasants in North Dakota. It is a pleasure to carry. I shoot 1 3/8 oz loads and the recoil is not as bad as you would think. I shot my friends Beretta 390 and the Benelli. Recoil seem pretty close. I do not seem to notice the recoil very much when a big rooster erupts at your feet!
