I personally think A Rod needs to be banned from the Hall of Fame. If they let him be eldgible, why not Pete Rose. I happened to know Pete ( and Johnnie Bench) as a personal friend and I really believe he should have been given another chance. So if A- Rod gets one, why not Pete?? Probably lots of opinions out there but this is mine.

I definitely agree with you Cuban. If you let ARoid or Barry Bonds in the Hall of Fame, you have to let Pete Rose in. You also have to let in "Shoeless" Joe. He is another person that is being held out.

If A-Rod, Baby Bonds, or any of the other roid boys get in then I would think you would have to let Pete in Cooperstown.

Pete always gave 100 percent on the field. As a Cardinal fan I hated him because he would always seem to find a way to beat us, but as a baseball fan I loved him.

Performance enhancing drugs, roids, growth hormones, or whatever, where do you draw the line? How about a trapshooter who has Lasik, or even one who wears glasses or contacts? It's not natural should he/she be prohibited from shooting?

How about Viagra, or those other meds that are half the ads on tv? They are performance enhancing products? We better ask the ladies on whether they want to disqualify a suitor using those substances.

Better words have never been spoken. I agree completely with you Cuban. I grew up a 3hr. drive from "THE BIG RED MACHINE" and loved the way Pete played the game. That is why he belongs in the Hall of Fame, I mean come on people, all time hit leader!!!! He did it fair, and the right way on the field, by busting his a--!!!

A-Rod said he was 23 to 25 years old at the time. Said he was young and stupid. I can relate to that. Thats why I don't think 18 year olds should have been given the vote. Post-2

I quit giving a moment of thought to baseball "greats" when the bunch of greedy bums went on strike years ago and ruined a whole season.

    Pete Rose...most hustle ever.
    Bench...class act
Almost all the guys from the late 70's to early 80's could be examples for our kids til someone learned the greed game too well. I blame people like Steinbrenner and the like who made the game so lucrative that these clowns would try anything to make (I did'nt say earn) the huge bucks.

What would Ted Williams make today? Mantle, Aaron, Mays, Gibson, Ruth (his performance enhancing substances were beer, hot dogs and women), Carlton, Brock, and on and on. They played better than most of these roid freaks and did it on effort, dedication and love for the game.

Thanks for getting me riled up. Doesn't happen other than with politics.

How can you ban A-rod from the hall of fame. He could very well be the greatest to ever play. I agree with you about Charle Hustle if your going to keep A-Rod out then you should just lock the door and close the Hall of Fame forever. I'm also sick of hearing todays players compared to yesterdays players. Everything is different now, including the pitchers who are also taking performance enhancing drugs. Let's not forget the fact that MLB turned a blind eye to it and all but condoned it. All I'm saying is there were how many players that tested positive on that list, and how many of their names were leaked? Exactly, another attempt to disrupt the Yankee clubhouse. They can't figure out how their going to beat them this year so disrupting the club house is a good start. I wonder how much attetion this would have gotten if A-Rod still played for Texas? Now all the Yankee haters can disagree but for as much as the Yankees are the most popular team in baseball, they are also the most hated. That's okay 27 is on the way.

The Yankee clubhouse is always disrupted, if it wouldn't be A-Rod it would be something else.

Anybody else notice the Yankees haven't won anything in the 21st century, meanwhile teams like the Red Sox - 2, White Sox, Cardinals, Marlins, Diamondbacks, Angels, Phillies have all put up banners.

If the Yankees didn't win another world series for the next fifty years they would still be the most winning francise in sports history. I know, it hurts.
